Wow, the headlines from the Obama administration's patsies--the mainstream media--would have us all believing there's some kind of hue and cry going on over Cheney and the CIA.
I guess the Democrats need a playing card to prevent Nancy Pelosi's takedown. Or maybe they don't want us to focus on Sotomayor's Senate confirmation hearing.
So, let's just look at who's doing the hue and crying on behalf of Obama and his Democrats.
From the Associated Press:
Democrats push for probe into Bush policies
Note the wording of the first paragraph--Obama has been reluctant...to put the screws to the former administration? Even serious liberals know that's a lie. Obama's been saving this issue, just waiting for the right time to spring it, the time that would be most politically advantageous. So this smoke-screen begins to take shape, with the help of the mainstream media, on the very day of the Sotomayor Senate confirmation hearings. Gee, wasn't trying to deflect our attention away from those hearings, were they? Perhaps further divide us amongst ourselves? Not Obama, not Mr. Hope and Change, not this man who promised no more "politics as usual." Right. And I have a bridge for sale...
The LA Times is really in the bag for Obama:
Clamor grows over CIA secrets
Ooooh, it's a clamor.
So, who's clamoring? Democrat Diane Feinstein of the recently failed state of California? Does anyone besides the LA Times give a rat's asset what she thinks? She lives in NeverNeverLand, along with the LA Times, and they really must be missing MJ now that he's gone. A majority of Americans are not "clamoring" for anything other than an end to the Crap and Trade nonsense, an end to forced healthcare reform that is merely another tax, an end to porkalicious bills masquerading as stimuli for the failing economy. But is anyone on the "Hill" listening? Hell, no. We're just voters, mere numbers that make up the demographics, not real people.
How about "clamoring" for an end to political games from both sides? How about an end to lies and broken promises? How about an end to biased reporting by a mainstream media interested only in promoting the best-paying political agenda? I know I'm not alone in "clamoring" for changes like that. I'd love to see every member of Congress investigated for every breath they've taken in the past, but then I'm not in favor of wasting the taxpayers' money on witch hunts, unlike the members of Congress or that would-be tyrant in the White House.
US News and World Report:
National Security Debate Takes Partisan Turn
The second line of this "report" reads: The national security controversy...
So, now it's officially labeled a controversy. Really. And who's controverting the issue? Why try to drag the entire nation into the past, ad nauseam, when the future's a whole lot scarier, especially with this America-hating president squatting in the White House? For a guy like Obama, who promised partisanship and tranparency, he sure is one divisive mother. No more "politics as usual," huh? Actions speak so much louder than words.
How's this for spin, from the Dallas Morning News:
Obama pressed to reverse course, investigate Bush-era CIA programs
Oh my, Obama's being "pressed" to reverse course...someone is pushing the poor guy into it. It's not his fault, really. So, is the Dallas News saying he's not in charge then? Obama's not directing this sham of a smoke-screen to divert the nation's attention from his highly suspect and troubling agendas? Our so-called president doesn't have a backbone stiffer than over-cooked spaghetti? Obama doesn't want to screw the other side any more than he wants to screw hard-working Americans out of all the money he and his pals in Congress can get? Yeah, right. Really, I have this bridge for sale...
To my way of thinking, a Second American Revolution and a return to the Constitution is looking better and better, every single day.
